Planning Process
In 2022, ITD renewed efforts with local partners on transportation connectivity and mobility in the Magic Valley. Through the development of the US-93 Traffic and 3rd Snake River Bridge Study, the following activities were completed utilizing existing conditions from 2022 and future conditions predicted for 2050:

Goal Setting – Established study goals early in the planning process to help identify the desired outcome of future project(s).
Data Collection – Collected data and documented existing and future conditions within the study area to capture transportation conditions, population growth, land use, socioeconomic conditions, and more. Past studies conducted in the study area were considered.
Traffic Analysis – Developed a detailed understanding of existing and future traffic conditions, including an origin and destination analysis for the Perrine Bridge.
Community Involvement – Incorporated community engagement early in the process to help with goal setting and to understand community needs to provide a collaborative process between all study partners.
Alternative Development and Evaluation – Developed and evaluated the performance of different options to improve mobility and safety performance in the study area.
This meeting is your opportunity to share feedback to further shape project outcomes.
